Family Cycle Picnic (Family/children’s short ride)

A leisurely cycle run along the walkway between Rosewell and Penicuik. Especially suitable for new or lapsed cyclists of all ages. Bring own picnic. Entertainment provided at Lea Farm picnic area. Information on hand from various health organisations.

CTC (Lothians DA) Evening Run Club ride (open to non members). An easy-paced evening leisure bike ride of approximately 15 miles, using quiet roads and the extensive cycle path network in Edinburgh, and incorporating a refreshment stop. All abilities welcome.

Wednesday 20 June (18:00 – 20:30)

“Cramond Cruiser”

Meet up on the colourful bridge over Roseburn Terrace from 17:30. We will set off around 18:00. The ride will be a friendly affair at a gentle pace, along the old railway path to Granton, then along the Forth Waterfront to Cramond village, where we will be visiting the Cramond Inn for some liquid refreshment and a good blether.

Ladies Ride – Club ride (open to non members)

A ladies-only evening ride of approximately 18 miles, using the Edinburgh cycle path and towpath network. Refreshments will be provided by the organisers at the end of the ride.

Traffic-free ride (eg. on NCN)

Easy-paced ride for mixed abilities and all levels of experience. We will leave Haymarket at 11:00 and, using the Union Canal path and Water of Leith Walkway, we will ride out to Balerno. We will have a short break in Balerno and then return to the office by approximately 14:00.

The LCV Bike Ride Adult beginners/easy ride

LCV are the Lothians Conservation Volunteers. We carry out practical nature conservation, mostly on Sundays, in Edinburgh and the Lothians for the benefit of wildlife, people and the environment. On this Saturday some of us will be going for a gentle, social bike ride using roads and cycle paths, with a stop for lunch.
